Baghdad (NINA) –Statistics prepared by the National Iraqi News Agency NINA shows that the US fatalities since the US invasion of Iraq till what is called the end of the combat mission on August 31st reached 4416 in seven years and five months.
The statistics shows that two US soldiers were killed per day during 2718 days.
The US casualties during 2010 till today were 46 deaths, in 2009 it was 149 deaths, in 2008 the US deaths were 314, while in 2007, the US deaths 904which was the highest, in 2006, the US forces lost 822 soldiers, in 2005 the US fatalities were 846, and they were 849 deaths in 2004 while the US deaths were 486 in 2003.
According to statements of the US Army, the Coalition Forces lost 4734 deaths, among them 4416 US personnel while the deaths of the non-American CF were 318.
During the last seven years 106 US female soldiers were killed which represents 2,4 % of the total casualties. Statements of the US Army and Pentagon refer that the US injuries during the last seven years were 32,000 distributed on 8624 of the Marines, 637 of the Navy, 447 of the US Air Force and the rest of them belong to the US Army.
The US deaths were distributed on 16 provinces, mainly in Baghdad 31,7 % and less than 31% in Anbar, while no casualties were registered in Sulaymaniya and Duhuk provinces.
Last August witnessed three US deaths which is the least bloody month for the American in Iraq. /End/
