Cabinet Secretariat threats closing satellite channels offices that violate licenses for frequencies directives

Baghdad (NINA) – Cabinet General Secretariat referred to the need of applying legal proceedings against those violating the instructions of the use of jamming devices and equipment used in those systems.

Director General of the Follow-up and Governmental Coordination Department in the Secretariat, Riadh Al Faili, said in a press statement that the Secretariat referred to the need for the application of legal proceedings against those violating the instructions of the use of jamming devices and equipment used in those systems and the instructions for licensing frequencies and the violation of property rights regarding the re-broadcasting.

He added "the directives were issued because those who use the re-broadcast channels within the satellite broadcasting bands frequencies allocated in accordance with the recommendations of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) are using satellite frequencies that are not licensed as well." /End/
