Baghdad (NINA) - Parliamentary Agriculture Committee stressed that all dams located on the rivers in Turkey do not comply with the terms of international safety.
Member of the Committee, MP Hamid Al Khudhari, said in a news conference held by the committee today in the parliament building "there are several other effects on human life, agricultural wealth, and economic and fishery resources in Iraq by Turkey, therefore, they must be aware of the rights of Iraq in its water resources in accordance with international law." .
The Committee called on the Parliament to adopt a campaign to collect signatures, to secure Iraq's share in the Tigris and Euphrates by urging international organizations to intervene in this matter. /End/
