Energy Affairs Committee agree to provide local generators with diesel for free

Baghdad (NINA) - The Committee of Energy headed by Deputy Prime Minister for Energy, Hussein Al Shahristani, approved providing local generators in residential areas with diesel for free.

A source in the Committee told NINA “the rate of diesel provided will be 30 liters for each 1 kv per month for June, July, August, and September."

"We referred the approval to the Cabinet to be ratified, after the success of the last year experience."

The government distributed free fuel last summer to local generators to guarantee the continuation of providing power to citizens at night to relieve their suffering from the heat during the summer. /End/
