Karbala (NINA) – MP from State of Law Coalition, Fouad Al Doraki, said "there are political reasons behind the reluctance of the Turkish companies working in Iraq in general and Karbala in particular."
He said in a statement to NINA today "Turkish companies are known now for the Iraqi ministries for reluctance and not fulfilling their obligations for completion of projects while fulfilling obligations with the private sector."
He said "that puts us in front of a political reading of the subject that it may be part of the campaign led by the Turkish government towards the Iraqi Government by trying to disrupt the provision of services."
He referred that "the current rate of trade exchange between the two countries exceeds $14billion. In case the Turkish government continues to deal with Iraq in this way, I think it will reduce the volume of trade exchange to half or less, according to its dealings with Iraq." /End/
