Baghdad(NINA)-The newspapers issued Thursday focused on the first conference of the Iraqi Parliament Members Union and the press conference of the Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
Al-Muwatin Newspaper said that the first conference of Iraqi Parliament Members Union opened in Baghdad last Wednesday with the attendance of a large number of governmental officials including the Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud al-Mashhadani, Vice-President Adil Abdul Mehdi.
Al-Mutamar Newspaper quoted the Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari as saying in a press conference that the government did not ask the US and Iranian parties to hold a new session of talks. The Iraqi and US parties negotiate daily about the points of a long-term agreement between them.
Al-Zaman Newspaper said that the Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari admitted that the US-Iranian talks about security in Iraq failed in attaining tangible results while the ministry called for the Iranian Ambassador to Baghdad to discuss the results of Kuwait meeting./End/
