| Nasiriya (NINA) - Thi Qar Province, today, signed with the Japanese Ambassador, Susumu Hasegawa, agreement to establish oil training center within the Japanese grant. The deputy governor, Haidar Al Bunayan, told NINA correspondent "Hasegawa arrived in the city today and paid a visit to the Gharraf oil field in Qal’at Sukar, 100 km to the north of the city," adding that "an agreement was signed to establish oil training center, the first of its kind within the Japanese grant." He added that "the Japanese side will begin to work in the next few days." A consortium of the Malaysian Petronas and the Japanese JAPEX, won the contract to develop the oil field in December 2009, they submitted an offer to extract 230.000 BPD. /End/ |
